“106 & Park,” the beloved BET music video countdown show, may be making its way back onto the airwaves but not how you remember it. During a recent interview, BET President and CEO Scott Mills spoke on the legacy “106 and Park” has left behind and plans to reboot the show for the digital age. “We understand people love ‘106 & Park’, …The fact that it doesn’t work as a linear television show doesn’t mean it’s over. We can bring 106 & Park back as a podcast. We can bring 106 & Park back as a digital experience,” Mills said.

According to Mills, a revamped version of106 & Park” is expected to be unveiled sometime this year and will likely coincide with BET’s celebration of the 25th anniversary of the show’s launch. Debuting on Sept. 11, 2000, “106 & Park” remained on-air until 2014 and ran for a total of 3,710 episodes. The show has left a lasting impact on pop culture from the very beginning with AJ and Free, to the Terrence J and Rocsi Diaz years, to ending with Bow Wow & Keshia Chanté.
