MARATHON, Texas — No more Target runs to a remote western Texas location.

A structure called the “world’s smallest Target” was demolished outside Marathon, Texas, KOSA reported. The building, which is not actually a Target store, is located about halfway between San Antonio and El Paso. It is a former railroad structure with the store’s logo painted on it, KSAT reported.

Brewster County Sheriff Ronny Dodson told KOSA that the owner of the building was worried that the structure, which had become unstable, might cause a visitor to get hurt. The owner decided to demolish the building, the television station reported.

The nearest real Target stores are located several hours away, in Odessa and Midland, KSAT reported.
