A California man came up big in a scratch-off game this month, winning $10 million to claim the top prize in the promotion.
According to a news release from the California Lottery, Louis Farillas bought a 10 Million Dollar Titanium Black scratch-off game at a store in San Pedro.
Farillas bought the $30 ticket at South Pacific Market, KTLA-TV reported.
According to lottery officials, Farillas decided to take the annuity option and will receive an annual check of $400,000 for the next 25 years.
South Pacific Market will receive a $50,000 bonus for selling the ticket, KNBC-TV reported.
Farillas was not the only big scratch-off winner.
Lazaro Macias purchased a Prize Crossword scratch-off ticket that resulted in a $2 million jackpot, lottery officials said. Macias bought the ticket at Bibo Liquor & Market in Westminster, lottery officials said. Macias matched a dozen words on the ticket to earn the top prize.
César Escamilla won $1 million after he bought a Power 10′s scratch-off at the 7-Eleven in Los Angeles, lottery officials said.
