UB Rodriguez
Hialeah-born and Homestead-raised, UB Rodriguez’s career has taken him to some of the greatest cities in the U.S including Chicago, Dallas and San Francisco. UB began his career at Miami’s HOT105fm. He's interviewed some of the most important figures in entertainment and politics including Alicia Keys, Drake and Usher, and President Barack Obama.
Rodriguez is Cuban-American from southwest Miami-Dade. He inherited his grandfather’s middle name, Ubaldo, an Italian and Spanish given name, from the Germanic hug "mind" and bald "bold". He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences from Florida International University, an Associates degree in Mass Communications and Journalism from Miami Dade College, a Certificate in Radio Broadcasting from Miami Lakes Tech, and is a graduate of Homestead Senior High School.
UB is a music connoisseur. He enjoys traveling, cooking, hiking, fitness, and a lively party! His charismatic, witty and engaging personality is felt through the airways. He uses those qualities to be of service to the community in three areas of interest: Mental health (substance abuse/depression), HIV prevention/treatment, and people living authentically as lgbt.
